A two-stage framework for automated operational modal identification

چکیده

Automated operational modal analysis (OMA) is attractive and has been extensively used to replace traditional OMA, which requires much empirical observation engineers’ judgment. Still, the uncertainties on parameters spurious modes are challenging estimate under field conditions. For addressing this challenge, research proposed an automated identification approach. The approach consists of two steps: (1) using covariance-driven stochastic subspace algorithm; (2) interpretation stabilization diagram. An additional uncertainty criterion employed initially remove as many possible. A novel threshold calculation for clustering with incorporating weighting factor. improved self-adaptive new distance group physical modes, followed by final step robust outlier detection select outlying modes. minimum human intervention. Two tests footbridge a post-tensioned concrete bridge verify tracking was continuously measured data demonstrating applicability Results show fairly good performance be suitable OMA long-term health monitoring.

Multi-Objective Learning Automata for Design and Optimization a Two-Stage CMOS Operational Amplifier

In this paper, we propose an efficient approach to design optimization of analog circuits that is based on the reinforcement learning method. In this work, Multi-Objective Learning Automata (MOLA) is used to design a two-stage CMOS operational amplifier (op-amp) in 0.25μm technology. The aim is optimizing power consumption and area so as to achieve minimum Total Optimality Index (TOI), as a new...

Stochastic System Identification for Operational Modal Analysis: A Review

This paper reviews stochastic system identification methods that have been used to estimate the modal parameters of vibrating structures in operational conditions. It is found that many classical input-output methods have an output-only counterpart. For instance, the Complex Mode Indication Function (CMIF) can be applied both to Frequency Response Functions and output power and cross spectra. T...

Operational Modal Analysis using a Fast Stochastic Subspace Identification Method

Stochastic subspace identification methods are an efficient tool for system identification of mechanical systems in Operational Modal Analysis, where modal parameters (natural frequencies, damping ratios, mode shapes) are estimated from measured ambient vibration data of a structure. System identification is usually done for many successive model orders, as the true system order is unknown. The...

A Computational Framework for Multi-Modal Social Action Identification

We create a computational framework for understanding social action and demonstrate how this framework can be used to build an open-source event detection tool with scalable statistical machine learning algorithms and a subsampled database of over 600 million geo-tagged Tweets from around the world. These Tweets were collected between April 1st, 2014 and April 30th, 2015, most notably when the ...
